The 12th edition of the Global Intellectual Property Convention 2020 was held in New Delhi from January 8th to January 10th. The theme of the convention was "Disruptive Innovation and Rethinking IP". The event brought together legal experts and practitioners to discuss the impact of disruptive technologies on intellectual property. The convention comprised of 7 plenary sessions and 16 breakout sessions, where participants discussed various aspects of how disruptive technologies can affect intellectual property regimes. The discussions were lively, with various inputs from the participants. Hon'ble Justice Pratibha Singh's address highlighted the need for changes in India's intellectual property laws. The event concluded with a valedictory ceremony, where suggestions for future Global IP Conventions were invited from the audience. Overall, the convention provided a platform for intellectual property enthusiasts to discuss the challenges and opportunities presented by disruptive technologies.
